Jinxing Chen, along with Bin-bin Fu of the English Department, led a group of students from Edgewood to China during the Summer of 2005 as part of their “China: Tradition and Transformation” class. The trip was a success, and we hope it will become a standard offering at Edgewood.

Jay Hatheway was on Sabbatical in the Spring of 2005.

Andrew Witt presented a paper, entitled “Picking Up the Hammer: The Community Services and Programs of the Black Panther Party, with Emphasis on the Milwaukee Branch,” at the International Conference of the Arts and Humanities, in Honolulu, Hawaii, in January of 2005. Professor Witt also received his PhD from Loyola University Chicago in the Summer of 2005. And, on August 19th, Witt’s wife Kristin, gave birth to Sadie Elizabeth.
